The earlier versions of HPE files and versions of files still too long for the HPE 500-word limit can be found under the Files section, and are noted by word count. UPDATE: Recent additions from the "Mad Slasher" era are now available:
Early Childhood Education - Amy Huffman (568 words) Shes Got Game - Debbie Allison (543 words) Riding with EMS - Christy Ridgill (537 words) - this version is in the "Files" section
Don's comments 8/12/08 - I have revieved the three mentioned below, think, they are fine, and think it's time to put this to rest and to print.
Most recent instructions from Tom
Today I posted 3 files from Carolyn's "Mad Slasher" e-mail (10 March) to the Festschrift page: The 537-word version of the EMS essay, Amy Huffman's 568-word Early Childhood Education essay, and Debbie Allison's 548-word "She's Got Game." Several other files were posted a few weeks ago.
Today's postings are the most recent versions of the Huffman/Allison essays that I have. We met again after these were generated, so Carolyn might have editing notes or updated versions.
We have a shorter (HPE) version of EMS already posted - it might be worth checking to see if anything important got cut out to bring us from the 530s (this version) to near 500 (HPE version).
Carolyn - do you have the most recent edit of the Boz essay? I only have his original, and have not posted it.
Everyone should look at the Festschrift web page at the Library Friends site - http://fol-gtcc.pbwiki.com/Festschrift and let me know what else I'm missing. The page itself has editable wiki versions of most of these files, and there are also original word documents posted in the "Files" section. Feel free to make changes on the wiki versions - an edit history & archive of past versions is kept at the site.
Assuming an 8.5 x 5.5 inch booklet, all of these essays will fit on two printed pages at 12-point font.
